Fondo de Inversión Rockville Solar Energy engages in the investment of solar PV power plants in Chile that operate under PMGD regime.

The Fund capitalizes a Holding company, Rockville Energy Holdings SpA (referred as Holding), used as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to acquire projects.

This structure allows the sale of operational projects through the Holding, allowing foreign investors to capture a smaller 10% tax rate (vs the statutory 35%) (1).

An outsourced company is responsible for the maintenance, commercialization, invoicing, accounting and audit of the whole operations.

Portfolio assets will be producing energy at a constant price throughout the next 14 years under the PMGD regulation which will no longer be accessible for new projects, due to the implementation of block of hours price policy (2).
